Based at Temple Street/Homeworking.
Do you have an excellent understanding of the built environment? Would you like to work in an area where you can make a real difference to people who are experiencing difficulties accessing their homes?
Accessible Homes and TEC Hub is a cross tenure one stop service for people who need assistance to access their home environment.
As a Adaptations Surveyor you will work as part of a team designing, planning and overseeing adaptations to people's homes, enabling them to access all the facilities.
The team have areas of focus and the roles we are looking for will be for the repair of existing installations and overseeing contractor performance for level access shower and more straight forward installations.
In addition to an excellent understanding of the built environment you will:
- Have experience of housing alterations, renovation and maintenance.
- Be able to think creatively to match solutions to identified problems;
- Due to the complex nature of the work and funding will also need to have the ability to research and understand legislation, circulars etc. relating to housing and adaptations.
