Now let us tell you about the role:

As a Plant Operative, you will be responsible for assisting in the day-to-day maintenance and operation of our waste management site in the UK.

Your role is vital in ensuring the smooth and safe functioning of our facility, contributing to environmental sustainability and safety.

Key Responsibilities:

Equipment Operation: Operate and maintain various plant machinery, including conveyor systems, shredders, excavators, and other waste processing equipment.
Maintenance Assistance: Assist plant fitters and engineers in scheduled and unscheduled maintenance tasks to keep machinery in optimal condition.
Safety: Ensure compliance with safety regulations and environmental standards while performing plant operations. Report any safety or environmental concerns promptly.
Waste Handling: Participate in waste handling activities, including sorting, loading, and unloading materials as needed.
Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with maintenance staff and engineering teams to support the site's overall operation and maintenance.
Documentation: Maintain records of daily plant operations, inspections, and maintenance activities.

Qualifications:

Prior experience in plant operation, maintenance, or relevant industrial roles.
Knowledge of heavy plant machinery and equipment.
Strong commitment to safety and environmental responsibility.
Effective communication and teamwork skills.
