About the Role


At our Ely site we are looking to recruit an experienced individual as a Digital Print Operative in our production area.

You will work within a team in a fast-paced environment reporting to the Shift Manufacturing Manager. You will be responsible for operating a variety of Machinery such as Digital print and Hand-fed Platens.

Experience with HP17000k digital printer, HP11000k digital printer preferred but not essential if you have the right attributes and you are happy to learn.


Health and safety is a very important aspect within our business and you will be accountable for your own and others health and safety whilst at work, operating within the DS Smith safe systems of work guidelines.


Within your role as a Digital Print Operator you are key to ensuring that productivity is exceptional and your excellent focus on attention to detail ensures that the quality of the work leads to mínimal errors and that we have satisfied clients while working within tight deadlines.

You need to ensure that the maintenance and cleaning tasks on the machines are planned to ensure maximum output.

The role requires you to work with a variety personnel within your area of production.


About you

  • Experience working in the print, POS and POP industry
  • Experience of working with and operating industrial machinery
  • Experience working within a manufacturing environment
  • Working knowledge of good health and safety practices
  • Proven experience of working towards KPI's and deadlines within a fastpaced environment
  • Effective communication skills; both written and verbally
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • The ability to make informed decisions
