Description

ABC Day Nursery is seeking a dedicated Grounds Maintenance Worker to join our team

As a Grounds Maintenance Worker, you will be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and aesthetic appeal of our outdoor spaces.

This is a hands-on position that requires a strong work ethic and attention to detail.

Duties:

Routine cleaning and upkeep of common areas and outdoor spaces.
Ensuring that the property grounds are wellmaintained and aesthetically pleasing.
Conducting regular inspections to identify maintenance issues and promptly addressing them.
Performing basic repairs and maintenance tasks such as painting and plumbing.
Managing landscaping activities including mowing, trimming, and watering plants.
Monitoring and maintaining equipment and tools used for maintenance and gardening tasks.
Following health and safety guidelines to ensure a safe working environment for residents and visitors.

Skills:

Strong knowledge of groundskeeping practices and techniques
Ability to operate and maintain various power tools used in landscaping
Proficient in using hand tools for repairs and maintenance
Familiarity with irrigation systems and their maintenance
Basic mechanical knowledge for troubleshooting equipment issues
Ability to work independently
Excellent attention to detail and time management skills

Working hours:
8h a week

Monday-Friday after the Nursery closing times 18:00

Saturday & Sunday

Background checks, including Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) checks and reference verification, will be conducted prior to the commencement of the role.

£11.50 per hour
