Description

I am seeking a Primavera P6 Planner to join my client; a large heavy engineering company looking for a Primavera P6 Planner to help with supporting a large infrastructure investment project.


Reporting to the Lead Planner, provides our cleint a with Planning expertise required to deliver robust performance measurement baselines, reporting management, change management and risk management.

Individual will undertake Planning activities as directedby the Lead Planner and develop and implement plans and systems to meet programme requirements.


Responsibilities:


  • Liaise with the Finance function to understand how cost is managed within the client core business systems and undertake WBS-CBS mapping and cost loading.
  • Develop and generate programme plans with input from Project Managers and supporting crossfunctional team to establish robust performance measurement baselines.
  • Produce detailed logic linked project plans within Primavera P
  • Liaise with programme suppliers to establish and review plans.
  • Ensure the integration of Project Control procedures into the planning process, including controlled release of project plans for execution.
  • Liaise with Project Managers and supporting crossfunctional team to update plan schedule progress and costs incurred to enable monthly reporting.
  • Assess the impact of risk and change on the plan.
  • Produce EVM data.
  • Analyse and review a range of data to identify key themes and trends and use the outputs to produce recommendations that support project decisionmaking.


The Assistant/Intermediate Planner is accountable to the Lead Planner for ensuring that all planning procedures are implemented in accordance with programme strategy and client governance frameworks.


  • Planning experience in major construction/infrastructure projects.
  • Expert user of Primavera P
  • Ability to work collaboratively with crossfunctional teams to develop plans from conception through to construction and completion.
  • Ability to develop and establish robust WBS-CBS and performance measurement baselines.
  • Understanding of how Project Control systems interface with client ERP systems and ability to develop effective programme systems to manage and report cost.
  • Understanding of earned value management systems and ability to develop effective systems to report schedule, cost and earned value.

  • Professionally qualified in planning/project Management e.g. ChPP, APM Practitioner, Primavera P6 qualifications, etc.

  • Knowledge of NEC3 contract procedures.
