Description
We have an exciting new opportunity for an Accounts Assistant for our client in Letchworth. The company specialises in fire alarms and security.


It will be you and the Finance manager running the finance function as a team and there is opportunity in the future to progress within the company should you wish.

This Role Is days a week.


Job Description:


  • Daily bank and weekly credit card reconciliation.
  • Daily management of finance inbox, liaising with our customers/suppliers/team to resolve financerelated queries.
  • Posting of supplier invoices onto Xero.
  • Preparation and posting of month end journals (accruals, prepayments, salary/PAYE etc)
  • Preparation of monthly payroll reports to be sent to payroll provider.
  • Making statutory payments (VAT, PAYE, Corporation Tax) as required, and making supplier payments on weekly/monthly basis.
  • Assisting with preparation and submission of quarterly VAT Returns.
  • Liaising with HMRC as and when required.
  • Supporting commercial finance manager with adhoc tasks as required.
  • Are either AAT qualified or have at least 3+ years direct experience.
  • Are a selfstarter, with the ability to work on own initiative as well as part of a team.
  • Are process driven, with excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in use of Microsoft Excel (e.g Pivot tables)
  • Take pride in your work and are a positive influence in an office environment.
  • Ideally, you will have a working knowledge of Xero, but this is not essential.

Job Type:
Full time, Permanent


Working hours:
Monday to Friday - 09:00 - 17:00 (flexible on start and finish times to accommodate)

  • 4 days a week. (Roughly Hours)

Responsible to:
Commercial Finance Manager


Location:
Office based, Letchworth


Pay:
up to £30 - 35k per annum Pro Rata
