Rugby World is the world's leading multi-platform rugby union media brand.

The website and social media channels are more recent additions to the magazine brand, which was established in 1960 and is published 12 times a year in print and digital formats.

But for all that has changed in the 60-plus years that Rugby World has been in existence, much has stayed the same.

We continue to bring you the stories behind the news, now across myriad formats and platforms. Above all, we want to celebrate rugby.

We're now looking for an Editor to be responsible for implementing the vision for the brand, leading growth of the digital editorial platform and driving the print product forwards by generating top level content on the sport at all levels from grassroots to international.

What you'll be doing

As Editor at Rugby World, in addition to maintaining current quality levels, you'll be required to develop and improve existing content while working to set budgets to keep Rugby World's print and digital offerings fresh and exciting.

You're also required to be a 'player manager' - fronting key content as and when appropriate, getting hands-on in the field and meeting the industry at events.

With a keen eye for commercial opportunity, the editor is also responsible for working with the commercial teams to identify new business opportunities for the brand and deliver best in class partnership content and creative solutions.

Experience that will put you ahead of the curve

Experience of managing people, budgets and projects.
Organisation and timemanagement skills.
Rigorous standards of spelling, grammar and punctuation.
Excellent accuracy and attention to detail.
Effective communication and teamwork skills.
Ability to use InDesign as well as standard word processing and spreadsheet software packages as well as Content Management Systems and data analytics.
Selfmotivation, responsibility, and enthusiasm.

The expected range for this role is £33,000 - £47,000.

This is a Hybrid role from our London Office, working three days from the office, two from home.
