Description
The Finance department which sits in Corporate Services is a core support function for Cox Automotive across Europe.


The Finance team has responsibility for maintaining the financial records of the business, ensuring appropriate controls and governance measures are in place to minimise risk as well as providing in depth managing reporting and analytics to drive business decisions.


Further to the above, the Finance team is core to the delivery of strategic change, providing appropriate support/ business partnering as and when required.


In addition, the Finance team provide a point of contact to Cox Automotive Incorporated (our US based parent company) through the provision of financial/management information.

This role will include responsibility for Accounting and Financial Reporting for Cox Automotive entities in the UK.


Scope of the Role:


An overview of the role:

  • You will be responsible for supporting accounting and financial reporting, your responsibilities will include:
  • Assistance with the day-to-day financial processing for certain UK entities
  • Assist with preparation of month end accruals and prepayments
  • Providing support in reconciling control accounts.
  • Working closely with the accountant, to ensure that the financial information prepared is accurate and delivered on time

Objectives for the Role:


Key objectives and deliverables of this role are:

  • Processing daily Banking Transactions
  • Processing daily Sales & Purchase Journals
  • Processing PL invoices, Expenses & Recoveries
  • Process Auction Remittances
- processing of Vendor Rejections/Refunds/Contributions

  • Allocation of Debtors & Creditors Ledgers
  • Processing daily CODA amendments
  • Liaise with central PL department at month end
  • Assist with monthly Accruals and Prepayments
  • Assist and liaise as appropriate with the groups internal auditors
  • Support on the accounting and financial implications of any change projects that are taking place in the business.

Skills, Knowledge and Experience

  • AAT Qualified/Part Qualified/QBE
  • Strong I.T skills (particularly MS Excel)
  • Good communication skills
  • Attention to detail
