Description

Cross Institutional Student Success Project Officer:

Grade 6 (£28,762 - £34,308 p.a. depending on experience)

This role will be based on the University campus, with scope for it to be undertaken in a hybrid manner. We are also open to discussing flexible working arrangements.

Do you want to play a key role in supporting the success of students at Leeds? Are you a team player with excellent communication skills? Do you have attention to detail and experience of analysing quantitative data to understand trends?
The University of Leeds is one of the top 135 universities in the world.

We have a truly global community, with more than 39,000 students from 170 different countries and over 9,000 staff of 100 different nationalities.

Established in 1904, we have a strong tradition of academic excellence, reflected in first-class student education, along with world-leading research that has a real impact around the globe.

This role is intended to maximise student success amongst students from a wide range of backgrounds - particularly amongst students at risk of non-continuation and lower than expected degree attainment.

Your work will involve taking a central perspective on Student Success activity, communications, data analysis and reporting, liaising with the network of Faculty Student Success Officers and staff in Educational Engagement (EE) and across the University.

A key responsibility for this role is to support the Student Success communications strategy for internal and external audiences, including event coordination, newsletter production, maintenance and administration of the Student Success Share Point site, social media platforms and other relevant channels.

You will help to facilitate and provide administrative support for a range of Student Success meetings, governance and team processes.

This work may involve leading and supporting interventions for students and staff, as well as liaising with academic and professional staff at all levels across the University, to help ensure that University staff, activities and processes are supportive of groups at risk including those from widening participation (WP) backgrounds.

You may also be involved in supporting the evaluation of Student Success support delivered, to understand where it is effective and to contribute towards recommendations for change.
