Job Description:

Customs Associate - Operations

You will

As Customs Associate you will be joining an experienced Operational Management team.

Working with the Compliance Manager you will be responsible for maintaining Import/Export compliance and delivering results within agreed KPI's and SLA's.

Recording & Monitoring of Duty/VAT information and reporting to the business.

Management of IMUK Imports via Air, Deep Sea and Road ensuring that full traceability is available for IMUK Business, Customs and Excise and Finance.
Management of daily export movements with relevant partners including maintenance of export sales spreadsheet
Maintenance of HS Codes and Tariffs for all UK SKU's whilst liaising with Central Customs Team so that goods are not delayed for Shipping.
Reconciling monthly Import/Export duty & tax information and ensuring compliance of the customs documentation
Validate costs/invoices incurred by the business
Monitor HMRC information for new updates on Import/Export laws, VAT information & new procedures
Supporting the process of return shipments to Straubing validating CI's, T1 documentation & customs clearance
To support the operational management team as needed
Understanding of the UK Export/Import requirements to a level that allows liaising with all relevant partners
Basic knowledge of the logistics/transport industry
Great attention to detail with strong analytical skills
Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office, including Project, Visio, Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
Experience of producing clear and detailed reports
Can communicate clearly and be a driver of change in processes or procedures
