Job Description:

Customs Associate - Operations

You will

As Customs Associate you will be joining an experienced Operational Management team.

Working with the Compliance Manager you will be responsible for maintaining Import/Export compliance and delivering results within agreed KPI's and SLA's.

Recording & Monitoring of Duty/VAT information and reporting to the business.

  • Management of IMUK Imports via Air, Deep Sea and Road ensuring that full traceability is available for IMUK Business, Customs and Excise and Finance.
  • Management of daily export movements with relevant partners including maintenance of export sales spreadsheet
  • Maintenance of HS Codes and Tariffs for all UK SKU's whilst liaising with Central Customs Team so that goods are not delayed for Shipping.
  • Reconciling monthly Import/Export duty & tax information and ensuring compliance of the customs documentation
  • Validate costs/invoices incurred by the business
  • Monitor HMRC information for new updates on Import/Export laws, VAT information & new procedures
  • Supporting the process of return shipments to Straubing validating CI's, T1 documentation & customs clearance
  • To support the operational management team as needed
  • Understanding of the UK Export/Import requirements to a level that allows liaising with all relevant partners
  • Basic knowledge of the logistics/transport industry
  • Great attention to detail with strong analytical skills
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office, including Project, Visio, Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
  • Experience of producing clear and detailed reports
  • Can communicate clearly and be a driver of change in processes or procedures
