Are you interested in working for a world top 100 University? We have an exciting opportunity in the Division of Clinical Medicine for someone with a passion for viruses as a treatment for cancer looking to use their skills in cell biology and immunology to make an impact on this disease.

You will join the NanoBug Oncology team in our large and diverse School of Medicine and Population Health.

You will work in the well-connected NanoBug oncology team with world-leading reputations in oncolytic viruses and are one of the largest research groups in the UK investigating platforms for delivering cancer killing viruses.

The applicant should be educated to PhD level, with a background in industry and experience working with viruses. So if you are passionate about cancer killing viruses, then we would love to hear from you.


The main aim of the role and the key duties are to prepare robust protocols for producing macrophages armed with cancer killing viruses which display potent antitumour activity.

This is a great career move and together with the NanoBug oncology team will help us drive this research from bench to bedside.

The applicant will have the opportunity to work closely with NHSBT and our clinical team to ensure the project is successful.
