Are you a midwife interested in Antenatal & Newborn Screening?


Due to our present post holder undertaking a new role within the Organisation we are now seeking an experienced, proactive midwife with a sound knowledge base to lead our Antenatal & Newborn Screening team.


As the Antenatal & Newborn Screening Specialist Midwife you will monitor and run the screening programmes in line with national standards and service specifications.


You will need to be naturally responsive to the changing demands on your priorities and workloads, and manage your own diary efficiently.

The post holder will need to be confident enough to instigate and drive local change to meet the expectations and standards set by the national programmes.

The role will be cross-site to cover both The Royal Oldham Hospital and Rochdale Infirmary.

You will need to be willing to travel flexibly to both sites and to outside events/meetings as and when necessary.

You will have the full support and guidance of the senior management team in all aspects of your role, and a comprehensive induction/handover will be provided.

You will be included in all key meetings (both internal and regional), and for your continuing professional development will be encouraged to attend training/information/update events run by Public Health England and other relevant parties.
