Payroll Assistant/Bookkeeper

Milton Keynes

£25,000 - £28,000 per annum

37.5 hours pw


Looking for a new opportunity to display your proficient Payroll/Bookkeeping skills? ACS Recruitment have partnered with a Top 12 recognised Accountancy Firm seeking a committed Payroll Assistant/Bookkeeper to join them on a full-time permanent basis, basedin Milton Keynes.

Duties:


  • To assist clients to process financial information.
  • Provide advice and recommendations to clients in relation to financial reporting matters. Complete each assignment as far as possible before passing to the manager for review.
  • Complete VAT returns for allocated clients.
  • Develop and maintain good client relations.
  • Liaise with clients directly or through relevant manager to resolve queries or obtain further information.
  • Ensure a high level of service to meet clients' expectations.
  • Ensure that all hours worked on assignments are correctly recorded.
  • Make timely and relevant recommendations in relation to accounting matters, financial reporting and accounting systems in use (including software).
  • 2 years or more of Bookkeeping experience in Practice environment.
  • Strong IT skills, including Word, Outlook and Excel, to an intermediate level for the production of letters and spreadsheets.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Organised and methodical.
  • Client focused.
  • Carrying out tasks with a high degree of efficiency and accuracy.
  • Time management skills.
  • Ability to operate strict deadlines and handle conflicting priorities.
  • Ability to work under own initiative.
  • Ability to keep calm under pressure.
  • Experience of working within teams.
