Job Description:


The increasing success and reputation of Tetra Tech in waste and resource management services means that we are seeking to recruit a Waste Recycling Specialist to further enhance our growing and diverse team.

We are therefore looking for a passionate and driven individual who wants to gain expertise in technical aspects of waste and resource management.


The Waste and Resource Management team of 8 consultants is a specialist team helping clients to develop new waste resource and management facilities that have the flexibility to maintain full regulatory compliance as requirements change.

The range of skills and disciplines we bring together starts with risk assessments and runs through to designing state-of-the-art waste management facilities.

Role Outline

A Waste Recycling Specialist's role and responsibilities will be flexible and dependent on the experience, but could be expected to include the following:

  • This role will primarily involve undertaking street cleanliness survey services which we provide to clients in the public and private sectors. These surveys consist of assessing levels of Litter, Detritus, Graffiti and Fly-posting, to assist councils in improving their street cleaning services and ensuring they are efficient and good value for money; and

Work mainly office or home-based but may be required to work on site, or from other offices or clients' premises as required by the project.

You will also be required to work away from home for periods of time.

Qualifications/Skills

Qualifications:
A degree in an Environmental Science or similar.


Personal Qualities needed include:

  • Needs a valid driving licence and willingness to travel;
  • Able to work under own initiative and as part of a team;
  • Proficient in use of relevant office software productivity tools;
  • Commitment to studying towards professional qualification;
  • A proactive, flexible attitude and the ability to work under your own initiative
  • Able to use technical equipment on the field with minimum supervision;
  • Strong communication skills; and
  • Good organisation and prioritisation of workloads in demanding environment.
