Job description

  • Scope is a disability equality charity in England and Wales. Together we are Disability Gamechangers. We work to a society where all disabled people enjoy equality and fairness. We campaign tirelessly for everyday equality for disabled people.

We're looking for an experienced Community and Events Fundraiser to join our team at Scope on a temporary basis, until the end of May 2024.

As this is a short contract, we're looking for someone who can step into the role and hit the ground running.


Fixed term/Temporary, up to 3 months, 35 hours per week

Location:

Here East Press Centre, 14 East Bay Lane, London, E15 2GW with flexibility to work from the office, home or both.


The role

The role has a combination of responsibilities across product management and community fundraising.


You will:
- be responsible for delivering the income target and best possible supporter experience to our #TeamScope runners in the 2024 London Marathon event.
- set us up for success in the 2025 London Marathon by working on marketing and planning for it.
- help us review our existing resources for supporter-led or 'do-it-yourself' fundraisers and develop new ones.
- research opportunities for investment in new products or events to help grow Scope's income and supporter base.
- work with the Community and Events Lead to develop the Community and Events strategy and innovate.

  • Support the Community and Events Coordinator in providing our supporters with an excellent experience.

About you
We're looking for a passionate and experienced fundraiser. Someone who can meet and exceed income targets for their events and products.


You will:
- be an excellent fundraiser with experience across either or both community and challenge events.
- have exceptional communication skills.
- be creative, collaborative and organised. Able to work efficiently in a busy environment, deal with conflicting priorities and manage own workload.
- have experience quickly building relationships with internal and external stakeholders to deliver goals.
- be passionate about supporter experience and raising funds to enable Scope to continue the work that we do.
