Description - Treasury and Syndications safeguards IFC's tripleA credit rating, promotes financial sustainability, and contributes to WBG mission by exercising financial discipline and a comprehensive approach to mobilizing private capital and promoting the development of local capital markets. The office of the Vice President, Treasury and Syndications provides leadership and direction across IFC's treasury and syndications functions, including IFC's liquid asset management, capital market borrowings, ALM, riskmanagement transactions for clients, and IFC's loan syndications and coinvestment program.
- The IFC London Treasury and Syndications Office is looking for a highly organized, dynamic Program Assistant who can operate effectively and discreetly in a demanding fastpaced environment with excellent administrative, organizational, and interpersonal skills. The position is based in London, UK.
Duties and Accountabilities: - Provide high quality administrative support to the Syndications Department and other London Treasury teams:
- Handling visa requests for teams supported.
- Support teams in preparing any required documentation including formatting, production of documents, correspondence, power point presentations (charts), excel sheets etc.
- Organize and coordinate logistics for the signing and transmission of legal documents.
- Take the lead to organize, arrange the logistics and host bank/investor meetings at the Treasury and Syndications office in London.
- Support Senior Syndications Staff and other Senior Treasury and Syndications visiting missions, including preparing meeting agendas, following up on briefs, scheduling meetings and coordinating calendar entries.
- Handle incoming correspondence, internal and external queries for teams supported.
- Draft routine correspondence and proofreading materials using proper grammar, punctuation, and style, following the IFC Templates.
- Establish and maintain an effective network of contacts, both inside and outside the unit, to ensure effective cooperation in support of front office needs.
- Under the supervision of the Senior Program Assistant:
- Undertake ad hoc duties that may be assigned.
- Work closely with Western Europe and other ACS teams for the daily running of the office.
- Act as backup to other ACS colleagues in the office in their absence or during a busy period.
Selection Criteria
- Minimum requirement is a High School Diploma and at least 5 years of relevant work experience in a large international institution or private sector organization, working experience in an international organization is a plus;
- Excellent interpersonal and communications skills and ability to interact tactfully with people of all levels;
- Excellent command of written and spoken English;
- Fluency in other languages are welcome;
- Demonstrates positive attitude, willingness and ability to assist teams with any adhoc tasks that may come up;
- Demonstrable team spirit and strong desire to actively contribute to the WBG's mission and objectives;
- Computer literate (Word, Excel, Outlook, Power Point, Teams, etc.);
- Experience in a busy diverse office environment;
- Makes decisions appropriate to scope of job. Seeks assistance and guidance from others where appropriate and uses own judgment to make timely and sound decisions;
- Works cooperatively and displays an open, helpful attitude toward others and approaches conflict as common problems to be solved. Values the importance of others' views and is aware of impact of work on larger World Bank Group;
