A bit about the role
:
Working in a team with Hiring Manager Paul Taylor, Digital and Creative Content Lead the Content Designer will play a critical role in overseeing and managing our presence on Gov.
You will be joining our small but talented team, who are committed to making positive change in how we communicate effectively to our audiences.
Paul is dedicated to in delivering a first-class customer service and taking an innovative and creative approach to to turning our messages into engaging content, with a plash of creativity for our digital channels.
Paul believes in working in a collaborative way, whilst valuing diversity in experience and perspective fosters good decision making and problem solving within their team.
This is a rare chance to shape the future of creative and content design in a fast growing, national organisation with real social purpose.
Working with key stakeholders and a professional communications team you will ensure efficient, consistent and effective engaging messages that resonate with our audiences.
The role will support the design and delivery of engaging content on Gov.UK and ensuring this meets with the guidelines set by the Government Digital Service.
There are some exciting and rewarding projects to get involved with and this is an excellent opportunity to balance day to day delivery whilst bringing innovative solutions to the communications offering.
A bit about you:
Whilst our day job is to deliver first class customer service to our stakeholders on communications, you will be used to "spinning several plates" at once and will always be looking for ways to improve and innovate.
You will be proficient in content design, user centric design and creating engaging content for channels such as social media, intranets, and websites.
Delivering on a mission as bold as ours isn't always easy.You will be resilient and comfortable managing stakeholders at a senior level and your discussions will always be shaped by a good understanding of the commercial and operational impact of what we do as a communications team.
You will enjoy working in an innovative, fun and engaging way and be able to negotiate and persuade.
As an experienced professional you'll understand how to work effectively with stakeholders and colleagues and be able to demonstrate you can work with others as part of a team in a collaborative, inclusive way.
