An exciting opportunity has arisen within a Good Ofsted rated school in Durham for a SEN Teaching Assistant/LSA with SEN experience.

This role is a full time and opportunity, supporting various year groups/classrooms.

The SEN Teaching Assistant/LSA role is a challenging but a highly rewarding experience that is pivotal to the overall learning and development of pupils.

The position will require strong commitment, 5 days per week. The role will be supporting the classroom teacher as well as doing small group work with lower/higher ability children.


The school is a very welcoming and caring, with a committed team of staff with a culture of high aspiration, enjoyment for learning, academic success and lifelong skills for all pupils.

Previous experience of supporting on a one-to-one or smaller groups basis:


  • Experience of working as a Teaching Assistant or have transferable skills:

Minimum Level 2 Teaching and Learning Support Qualification or be willing to complete:


  • Experience in working with children with challenging behaviours:

Be flexible and available for work:


  • Enhanced DBS on Update Service or be willing to purchase.
If you have worked overseas for a period of 6 months in the last 5 years you MUST have a overseas police check:

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
