We are seeking to recruit a number of Student Support Assistants with a passion for supporting children with special needs at a SEN school in Hailsham.

This is a brand new special school and so you will be working within a purpose built new school building, teaching across the age ranges.


You will be working as part of a team that are responsible for developing, improving and delivering exciting and innovative provisions for children who are not succeeding in mainstream education, and require a nurturing, positive approach in order to achieve the best possible outcomes.


Role Purpose and Role Dimensions:

The Support Staff for Conflict Resolution and De-escalation plays a vital role in maintaining a safe and supportive learning environment within our SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health) therapeutic special school.

This position is responsible for promptly and effectively de-escalating conflict situations and resolving issues as they arise, enabling pupils to return to their classrooms and continue their learning journey.

Duties and responsibilities of the post may change over time as requirements and circumstances change.

The person in the post may also be required to carry out such other duties as may be necessary from time to time.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
