Vulnerability Support Hub, West Yorkshire Police, Elland Road, Leeds LS11 8BU

Full time, fixed term contract up to 31st March 2024

Key responsibilities:


The team link in and work very closely with police colleagues who manage cases whereby people are at risk of becoming radicalised due to their vulnerabilities.

Good communication skills, ability to identify safe guarding issues and write up assessments/formulations will be pivotal to the role.


Line management support and clinical supervision will be provided to support new team members, there will be opportunity to identify training needs and keep abreast of the NMC validation requirements.


Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Conduct paperbased risk assessment and formulations on people referred into Prevent to inform appropriate care.
  • Work in a consultancy model with police officers and other members of the mental health team.
  • Provide formal and informal training to other NHS services and police colleagues agreed psychological approaches, formulation and risk management.
  • Attend and participate in team meetings.
  • Work within a multidisciplinary team to collate and review data analysis in order to interpret findings.
  • To be confident and trained in using forensic risk assessments.
