This is an exciting opportunity for a forward looking and enthusiastic respiratory physician to join our team. on a 1 year fixed term contract.The post holder will be responsible for the continued delivery and further development of an already well-established Respiratory service at Lewisham and Greenwich NHS Trust.
The post will be based at the University Hospital Lewisham ( maternity leave cover).The successful applicant will be part of the current team of 4 respiratory Consultants in UHL sites. The Respiratory Teams include and are supported by 2 specialist registrars and a team of junior doctors.
In addition, there are 5 respiratory specialist nurses, 1 clinical physiologists, a team of TB specialist nurses, a lung cancer MDT coordinator and 1 lung cancer clinical nurse specialist and 1 nodule nurse.
We are looking a person with a sub-specialty interest which would complement our existing establishment which includes TB, Lung Cancer, CF, ILD, COPD and pleural disease.

A formal job plan will be agreed between the appointee and the Clinical Lead, on behalf of the Medical Director, three months after the commencement date of the appointee.
The Job Plan will be a prospective agreement that sets out a consultant's duties, responsibilities and objectives for the coming year.
In addition, it should include personal objectives, including details of their link to wider service objectives, and details of the support required by the consultant to fulfill the job plan and the objectives.
