Working with established Personal Wealth Advisers, the Associate Adviser will build effective relationships with clients, identifying and addressing clients financial needs and acting in the client's best interest at all times.

Most of your time will bespent talking to clients, providing financial advice to review and meet their immediate and ongoing financial goals.

You'll have a dedicated area to support, and you'll help manage a designated portfolio within the region, writing reports and acting as anintroducer for additional advice when required.


As you gain experience in the role you will have the opportunity to learn new skills to build on your existing knowledge, enabling you to progress to a Personal Wealth Adviser.


What you'll be doing

  • Seeking to understand client needs, aspirations and concerns to ensure they are provided with the right type of personalised support or service
  • Explaining and engaging with clients on the Financial Advice process, the benefits of holistic advice and the ongoing service proposition offered by our team to understand how we can help them
  • Conducting meetings with new clients face to face and over the phone/video to review and meet their immediate and ongoing financial needs
  • Working will a small group of advisers in a pod, focusing on a specific geographical area which will include a group of LBG branches who have mandate to work with you to provide quality introductions
  • Building practical and client skills, with the support of experienced advisers

Your qualifications & experience

  • Level 4 diploma qualified
  • Experience of giving financial advice
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build new and maintain existing relationships
  • Desire and ambition to build a career within Financial Planning
  • A genuine desire to help others achieve their goals


You will be open and welcoming to change, have exceptional problem-solving skills and an ability to stay focused in times of uncertainty.

You will seek to develop personal capability and knowledge and maintain a full understanding of the wider marketplaceand industry shifts.

You'll show commitment to living the SPW values, behaviours and meeting the Code of Responsibility.

You will also ensure your SPS is up to date and professional competencies meet the requirements of your professional institute and SPW's T&C approach.
