Lowri Beck have a fantastic opportunity for a Director of Field Services who will manage our field services teams.

This role is pivotal in driving the operations team to deliver exciting growth plans, whilst maintaining Lowri Beck's distinctive safety record.


As we move into a cleaner and greener future and build our service offering, the Director of Field Services will develop the field services teams to be adaptable and capable of role variation needs, ensuring that the teams are appropriately trained, developed,and highly motivated to create and excellent service experience for our customers.


Key Accountabilities

  • Cultivate and enforce a strong safety culture
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement across the field services teams
  • Operational budget management for the field services function with a critical focus on productivity and cost optimisation
  • Collaborate with all operational and customer service functions to drive cross functional productivity and service quality improvement
  • Deliver the field services transformation programme, which focuses on elevating our customers' experience, builds out our service offering providing scalability, agility, and flexibility
  • Monitor, evaluate and improve the efficiency and effectiveness of service delivery methods and procedures
  • Ensure the appropriate staffing levels are in place to meet the demands of the customer base by working with the HR recruitment and onboarding teams
  • Act as a point of issue escalation for customers in relation to all customer field service activities
  • Act as a coach to the management team to continuously improve confidence and competence
  • Contribute towards the development of the longterm strategy roadmap for the field services division

What we are looking for

  • Good standard of general education e.g., GCSE or equivalent including English and Maths
  • 5+ years previous experience working within a managerial/leadership position managing a large fieldbased team and associated field processes and procedures, ideally within the utility metering industry
  • Hold a driving licence that allows you to drive in the UK with a maximum of 3 points
  • Commercial acumen for managing a budget
  • A proven track record in the successful delivery of business change, root cause analysis, lean management, and business process improvement
  • Ability to deal with (at times) competing conflicts improve quality, reduce costs, drive up margin, etc
  • Adept with the Microsoft Office suite of products.
  • A supportive approach to colleagues with the ability and drive to build a team culture and foster engagement to deliver exceptional customer service in a service provision environment
  • Customer focussed, able to anticipate and meet requirements of internal and external stakeholders
