Credit Controller


Location:
Preston City Centre, incorporating Agile working


Hours:
Monday to Friday, 42.75 hours per week


Salary:
Competitive, dependent on experience


The opportunity:


We are looking for an experienced Credit Controller to join our growing Finance Team, based at our modern head office facility in central Preston.

We are a national recycling and waste management business, operating sites nationwide to offer services to recycle scrap metal, scrap cars, plastics, general waste and much more.

We're industry leaders, developing ground-breaking Energy from Waste technologies.

We're also one of the country's largest scrap car recyclers, processing up to 10,000 vehicles every month across our sites.

The key responsibilities:


The Credit controller is responsible for ensuring that all monies owed to the business are collected in a timely and appropriate manner.

Particular responsibilities include;

  • Post and allocate receipts accurately
  • Communicate with other departments to ensure queries dealt with swiftly
  • Issue statements
  • Keep appropriate records of customer interactions
  • Complete daily admin tasks including uploading new invoice data to sage
  • Assist team members with their ledgers as needed
  • Use Sage (both 50 and 200 as we are in process of moving from one to other) along with some inhouse purpose built systems
To succeed in this role, you will need be reliable, organised and have good organisational skills. You will hold incredibly high standards, demonstrate a positive attitude, and display a good level of communication.

You will have a minimum of 2 years credit control experience and be proficient with Microsoft Excel.


We are incorporating home working into our roles, so an ability to work from home as well as from our office in Preston is required.
