Description

Part of New Forest Care, the ARC is a specialist project providing short-term placements for children who have experienced trauma and abuse.

We use adventurous activities and the outdoors to engage and support the children living with us.


Key responsibilities include:


  • Manage a team of support workers.
  • Provide regular supervision and training.
  • Be part of and support the leaderships team where necessary.
  • Work directly with the children being a good role model to the team.
  • Take on such administrative duties as required by the homes manager.

Essential requirements:


  • At least two years' supervisory experience in a residential childcare environment.
  • To hold a relevant Level 3 Residential Childcare Diploma.
  • UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.
  • Able to work under pressure and make decisions in stressful situations.
  • An excellent communicator, both verbally and in written format.
  • A committed team player.
  • Mature, responsible and levelheaded.
