As a Barclays MLRO and MLCO this is an exciting opportunity where you will play a lead role in preventing and forestalling Money Laundering for the Barclays Bank PLC, Guernsey branch.
This role includes the regulatory obligations of a Money Laundering Reporting Officer which includes the receipt of suspicious activity reports from the various business areas, consideration of those reports and where appropriate reporting to the Authorities.

Working Flexibly
What will you be doing?:
- Receiving internal suspicious activities reported by the business and determining whether external reporting is required
- Managing the nominated Sanctions Officer and liaising with the Policy and Resources Committee when required
- Providing AML/Financial Crime advice to the businesses which operate in Guernsey, ensuring they are aware of their regulatory obligations under local legislation and regulatory codes
- Handling and guiding to ensure policies and procedures consider local variances in regulatory requirements
- Providing advice on the onboarding of new higher risk clients and annual review of higher risk clients
- Attending governance meetings and Onboarding committees
- Delivering AML/SAR Handling training to colleagues
What we're looking for:
- An experienced and skilled MLRO with role model stakeholder management/interactive skills and firstclass decisionmaking experience within a large financial services business
- Practical experience of the Guernsey AML/CFT Regulations and requisite knowledge and broad experience in sanctions and anti
- Professional Qualifications such as the International Compliance Association Diploma level qualification in Anti Money Laundering/Financial Crime

Where will you be working?
We have two offices in Guernsey situated in the heart of St Peter Port, the main town on this idyllic Island.
The Barclays offices are surrounded by good quality shops and it's only a 5-minute walk to the beautiful harbour with numerous sea view restaurants and bars.
