Overview
greenwellgleeson are Exclusively recruiting an Accounts Assistant for a successful and Established Company based in Erdington, Birmingham. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone early in their Accounts Career looking for there next progressive move.
Role Responsibilities will include
- Day to day administrative support for the Accounts function including the following areas across all companies within the group:
- Purchase ledger transaction processing and administration
- Resolving purchase ledger queries and supplier statement reconciliations
- Sales ledger posting of receipts and allocations
- Credit Control
- Support with bank reconciliation
- Support with month end routines
- Support with month end data creation
- Support with other accounts tasks as required
- Dealing with customer calls and taking telephone payments
- Good understanding of accounting basics including purchase and sales ledgers
- Strong eye for detail, good level of numeracy
- Investigative skill and desire to resolve issues
- Good communication skills
- Good administration and time management skills
- IT competency; particularly with finance systems (Sage), MS Excel and Outlook
