We are looking for a Personal Assistant to support Bruce, a 55-year-old gentleman who is based in Clarencefield. Bruce is outgoing and has a wicked sense of humour and likes to chat. The support is for 10 hours a week to give his wife some respite.

Bruce is looking for someone who can support him to the daily living tasks that he cannot do unaided like light housework and shopping when required as he would like to help his wife and to escort him to appointments and on a Wednesday to the Brain Injury Rehabilitation Centre at Capability Scotland and return for him when ready to come home and on a Thursday to swimming on a Thursday, you would have to assist in the pool with the physios.

You would also be required to support Bruce with any exercises that are given by the physio.

You will have use of the client's car, which is adapted for Bruce to get in and out of using his powered wheelchair.

Bruce uses a stedy aid for moving and assisting around the house so would be useful if you were familiar with this equipment.

Bruce may occasionally require personal care. Bruce also has another personal assistant who also covers so hours and duties would be discussed at interview.

Bruce's interests include chess and D.I.Y and is architecturally minded due to having been a draughtsman for many years.

Requirements:

- £10.90 per hour

10 hours per week
Driving License required as will have use of Customers vehicle.
Moving and Assisting preferred but not essential as training can be sourced if required
Confident swimmer
Experience in care an advantage but not essential
Flexibility in working hours
