324626- Morgan Stanley Investment Management (MSIM) is a leader in the global investment management business and its Operations Group serves the Firm's portfolio managers and associated teams by providing high quality support through excellence in processing, reporting, and management of strategic initiatives.


  • The Regulatory Transaction Reporting team are responsible for ensuring MSIM meets their regulatory obligations across several regulatory transaction reporting regimes including EMIR, MIFID II TR, MIFID II PTTR, SFTR, MAS and ASIC.
The team have a presence in India, London, and Boston. The India team focus on multiple pre-submission validations across the regimes.

The London team oversee the India team, perform daily submissions to the regulators, troubleshoot issues, report to management, and ensure a robust control framework is maintained.


  • 810 years industry experience and 34 years of working on the Regulatory Reporting function.
  • You will have good knowledge of one or more of the regulatory regimes the team covers (MIFID II/ ASIC/EMIR/MAS/SFTR). (Experience in other daily reporting regimes such as CFTC will be considered as equivalent experience.)
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent (Finance, Economics or Accounting preferred) and demonstrated, proven experience in Financial Services Operations or similar role.
  • Investment product and derivative instrument knowledge required
  • Buyside asset management experience preferred.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • What we're looking for:
  • Review, correct, and submit daily Transaction Reporting files in accordance with MiFIR, EMIR, SFTR, MAS and ASIC regulatory rules and guidelines. Oversee the offshore Reporting team.
  • Troubleshoot and escalate production reporting issues
  • Conduct validation testing and reconciliations and research breaks to ensure reporting accuracy and completeness
  • Analyse data issues and identify corrections to meet regulatory requirements
  • Implement operational, organizational, system, and regulatory changes to transaction reporting
  • React to regulator responses and rejections in a timely manner to meet tight reporting deadlines
  • Produce daily management and monthly KRI statistics
  • Ensure all procedural documentation is up to date and accurate
  • Work proactively with counterparts across the bank, to ensure consistency, share knowledge and make recommendations for process improvement
  • Partner with Risk, Legal, Compliance and internal working groups to review and onboard new regulatory requirements
  • Partner with internal business units and external third parties to design and implement ongoing enhancements to the reporting process
  • Using strong business sense and judgement, identify potential risk areas making appropriate recommendations and highlighting risk via the appropriate escalation channels
