MS13- Electrical Maintenance Engineer (4 on 4 off)

Location:
Llanidloes, near Newtown


Salary:
£40,000 per annum


The shifts for this role are on a 4 on 4 off basis, involving 4 x 12 hour days (5:00am - 5:00pm) followed by 4 days off.

Sundays are excluded from the shift pattern.


Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Daily visual equipment check for production line machinery; including hand power tools; power packs; gearboxes & drives; rise/fall platforms etc.
  • Carry out regular and ongoing electrical maintenance including lighting, starter motors etc.
  • Assist operations and office staff with requests for maintenance repairs.
  • Carry out tasks on maintenance repair list in priority order.
  • Complete works as detailed in Managers maintenance request sheets.
  • Attending and resolving emergency breakdowns as they occur, working to get equipment serviceable in a timely manner.
  • Installation and commissioning of equipment, network cabling, rewiring, phone line maintenance.
  • Assist with carrying out general building maintenance including.
  • Gates, rails, mesh flooring, general household maintenance such as lightbulbs, washers etc., fridges, switches and rail work, general welding repairs.

Skills and Qualifications:


  • Must be qualified to 18th Edition of the IEE Wiring Regulations BS 7671:201
  • Experience in a similar / the same role.
  • Good practical skills and a commonsense approach.
  • Ability to work under extreme pressure.
  • A willingness to work unsociable hours when required.
  • Selfconfidence and ability to work independently or as a member of a team.
