An exciting opportunity has arisen to be part of the Medical Examiners team.

We are looking for someone who is inquisitive and keen to be a part of the Medical Examiners team, aiding them in their responsibility for overseeing the death certification for all deaths in both acute and community settings.

Please note there are two vacancies available:
Post - Full time, fixed term contract for 12 months

Post hours, part time permanent post.

To participate in the processes of death certification and referrals to the Coroner.
To support the Medical Examiners Service in maintaining proposals from and in line with the Department of Health.
To assist in highlighting cases for review by the Structured Judgement Review team (SJR), the Child Death Overview Panel (CDOP), Clinical Governance teams and the Learning Disability Review team (LeDeR).
Consideration of Occupational Exposures and use of the Cause of Death List is essential.

One post is advertised on a fixed term contract basis for a period of a maximum of twelve months due to maternity leave of the substantive post holder.

The fixed term contract status of the post holder will be reviewed in accordance with the Trust's legal obligations regarding fixed term contracts and statutory maternity provisions.

Please also note any secondment must first be agreed with your current line manager.
