Brief Description:
What will you be doing?
We need you to support Lancs and Cumbria Delivery Unit for a 12 month secondment opportunity.
We are looking for a HR advisor basis to work across all Lancs and Cumbria DU sites supporting and advising our line managers on local people related issues.
If you are an organised, self-motivated individual who wants to work alongside the route HR team to support the Manchester team, we need you You don't need to have a HR qualification or HR experience as training and development will be provided you just need to be confident, enjoy working with people, building relationships and be able to support line managers to resolve issues.
The post holder can be based at Carlisle or Preston delivery unit but will need to work at different sites throughout the week and will be willing to travel regularly to Barrow, Whitehaven and Carnforth.
About the role (External):
Every day will be different, but you can expect to be involved in the following activities:
- Note taking and administration support for low risk disciplinary and grievance meetings
- Drafting correspondence and organising meetings for line managers
- Organising and supporting managing for attendance meetings
- Proactively supporting frontline managers with long term and shortterm sickness cases
- Ensure all returntowork meetings and home visits are undertaken in a timely manner
- Support team members and line managers with queries, concerns in order to resolve issues as quickly as possible
- Support HR team with line manager upskilling and development sessions
- Accurately recording sickness, leave and maintaining associated records for the delivery unit

Network Rail adheres to a
structured pay framework, any salary offered will be within the pay range advertised.
Salary:
Band 5, starting at £22,000
