DustScanAQ are pleased to offer the position of Air Quality/Environmental Consultant.

The position is mainly desk/office based in Witney (Oxfordshire, UK), but there will be future potential for hybrid working arrangements.

We are a small, independent, employee-owned environmental consultancy firm that specialises in dust and air quality monitoring and assessment.

We are currently looking for applicants with preferably 1-2 years existing consultancy experience to join our growing air quality and dust consultancy team, specifically to assist with ADMS Roads and ADMS point source modelling.

Recent graduates with the necessary skills will also be considered.


Our consultancy team undertake a range of expert dust, air quality and odour assessments typically for planners, developers, energy and mineral sector clients.

A key part of your role will be supporting the delivery of assessments using a range of predictive models, and your work will mainly be desk-based.

Site work may be required occasionally, installing ambient and indoor air quality monitoring equipment, providing the opportunity to travel all over the UK, meet our clients and learn about their industries and operations.

Our work ranges from one-off assessments to complex on-going expert witness cases.


Applicants must have the equivalent of A level maths, a 2-1 in a relevant Bachelor's degree, such as Environmental Science or Geography and additional knowledge of dust and air quality impacts.

Prefereably, applicants will also have experience in carrying out complex data routines, using GIS software and air quality dispersion modelling.

Experience in Python, QGIS and R is also desirable. Full training will be provided.


Attention to detail is essential in this role and the ideal candiate will be a strategic and analytical thinker and be able to deal with ambiguity.

They will also be happy working in a team environment, have excellent communicaiton skills and have the confidence to work under pressure.

Typcially 09:00 - 17:00 (Mon-Fri)
