Description
The Student Outcomes Coordinator helps to put the student voice at the heart of decisions made about student success. They will gather the views of fellow students through focus groups, networking, and workshops.

They will be coached into leading a weekly safe space and discussion group known as the 'Inclusion Consultants' - current students who provide feedback on their university experience as underrepresented students.

The role also involves creating engaging and student-friendly communications and web content.


There will be the opportunity to make a real difference, working alongside Reading Students' Union and the Diversity and Inclusion team to operationalize the recommendations from reports such as the Race Equality Review.

**Main duties and responsibilities

  • Deliver Inclusion Consultant workshops with students and staff.
  • Consult with current students, in particular underrepresented students, to understand their experience at Reading.
  • Work with the Student Outcomes Manager (Awarding Gap) to create and source content for dedicated awarding gap web pages.
  • Compile and analyse this feedback and share as appropriate via written or oral reports with the Director of Student Success and Engagement and other relevant members of staff.
  • Research how other institutions engage with students to close awarding gaps and present this information either in written or verbal format.
  • Assist with a variety of ad hoc and administrative tasks, as necessary.
**Supervision

The role holder will be directly line managed by the Student Outcomes Manager, with regular one-to-one check in meetings where they will receive dedicated support for their role.
