This post is advertised for the Respiratory ward consisting of 33 beds

As Band 3 Discharge flow assistant duties will include supporting the nursing staff in discharging patients and chasing scans that are essential for patients.

You will liase with the multidisciplinary team regarding discharge plans and communicating with social workers to expedite patients discharges.

You will also support the registered nursing teams in providing patient care, clinical duties such as assisting patients with extended personal hygiene needs, meeting patients nutritional needs, including completing risk assessments and implementing plans of care.

Pressure area care delivery and wound assessment and wound dressings. Undertaking observations, supporting new and junior members of staff, as well as venepuncture, cannulation, catheterization and ABG taking. Also Supporting patient receiving High Flow oxygen therapy and Non Invasive Ventilation.
