Description
The role will be to support a director who has the largest remit in the company.


You will provide support to the EA with Board level committees and partnership meetings, and support to the CEx, Board and wider executive team at busy periods/ annual leave cover.


Main Accountabilities

  • Coordinate the workload and business of the Directors.
  • Contribute to the effective running of the Directors' senior management teams by setting up and maintaining systems and processes to enable the smooth running of the services.
  • Line management responsibility for the Panel Coordinator; ensuring effective coordination of key operational meetings and providing cover for this role in absences.
  • Manage the mailboxes
  • Respond to correspondence in a timely manner, follow up on pending matters and delegate actions to the relevant people with limited direction.
  • Manage the diaries of the Directors, arrange schedules and forward plan whilst balancing the time and competing priorities to maximise effectiveness.
  • Support the Directors with the production of strategic documents and correspondence.
  • Support all operational meetings relevant to the Directors; take accurate minutes, circulate agendas and associated papers in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Support the wider Executive Support Team, provide cover for the Personal Assistant when absent and assist the Executive Assistant with Chief Executive and Board matters if necessary.

Experience needed

  • Proven experience of extensive business or Personal Assistant support to a director level

  • Experience and demonstrable understanding of the key tasks required to provide direct support to Director level
    (Essential):
  • Experience of dealing with confidential, private, and sensitive information
    (Essential):
  • Proven record of detailed, accurate and timely minute taking
    (Essential):
  • Educated to A level/NVQ3 standard or equivalent
    (Essential):


  • Relevant professional qualification

  • or working towards this
    (Essential):
  • Previous knowledge and understanding of the services provided by children's social care
    (Desirable):
  • Ability to assess information and provide recommendations based on own judgement
    (Essential):
  • Excellent organisational skills and ability to prioritise workload to meet key deadlines
    (Essential):
  • Ability to professionally challenge others appropriately
    (Essential):
  • Ability to prioritise own work with mínimal supervision, manage conflicting priorities to achieve targets and deadlines

  • Advanced written and verbal communications skills
    (Essential):
  • Knowledge of a variety of software packages, such as Microsoft Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint
