Do you have the ability to work effectively under pressure and in a team environment?

Our client is looking for an IT Second Line Support to join their reputable and successful freight and logistics team.


  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Absorbs new information and applies it effectively.
  • Strong time management skills with a history of meeting commitments.
  • Familiar with Microsoft Office 365 and Windows products.
  • Familiar with Active Directory Management and Group Policy
  • Learning and professional development — identifies and negotiates own development opportunities
  • Effective engagement with staff / customers in a professional manner

Duties will include, but are not limited to:

  • To provide 1st, and 2nd line technical support queries professionally and efficiently, maintaining a high degree of customer service. Ensuring all queries are logged in Zendesk.
  • Assists in the investigation and resolution of issues and determines when they should be escalated to a higher level.
  • Assists with the development of support standards and contributes to creation of support documentation.
  • Assists with the procurement of IT kit.
  • Provide technical advice to prospective customers, sometimes in a presales capacity.
  • Provide induction training for new starters and basic user training on the use of our business systems.
  • Assists with the provision and configuration of mobile phones, smartphones & tablets.
  • Assists with Active directory account management (starters/leavers).
  • Assists with SharePoint Management and Administration.
  • Liaise with any 3rd party product providers to assist where needed.
  • PC Builds / configuration.
  • Install or remove system components using supplied installation instructions and tools. Conducts standard tests and contributes to investigations of problems and faults.
  • Contributes to the development of installation procedures and standards.
  • Uses agreed procedures to maintain an accurate register of assets and performs activities related to the administration of assets including disposal.
  • IT Project work (Office 365, flow, Intune, Azure ad, Automation).
  • Take ownership of security incidents making sure logs are filled in and all remedial actions are performed.

Salary:
Up to £32,500 DOE
