Position Summary:


The Industry Liaison (IL) Advisor sits at the interface between Infineum and our industry partners, such as OEMs, Tier 1 suppliers and Industry bodies.

The primary purpose of IL is to create value for Infineum, representing Infineum at these interfaces and managing these interfaces in the best interests of Infineum.


  • Accountable for OEM relationships and operational OEM approval negotiations, you will drive OEM engagement & influence key decision makers, delivering OEM approvals per business requirements
  • You will be responsible for maintaining and growing relationships across OEMs/Tier 1 suppliers, advocating for Infineum technology, influencing technical specifications as needed, as well as developing new channels of interaction across your industry network
  • Through that industry network, you will monitor relevant trends, gain early insights on hardware direction and OEM thinking, and advise internally on the implications thereof while simultaneously influencing OEM choices and cultivating strategic OEM/Tier 1 collaborations
  • You will work with Strategic marketing to cocreate the Infineum industry and OEM strategy. Your insights and influencing will be key to directing and delivering that strategy, enabling Infineum to achieve its stated business objectives. This will include identifying and championing new opportunities and understanding of the commercial landscape of the OEM


The role has a regional focus with a critical global element for global OEMs/Tier 1 suppliers headquartered in region and/or representation on regional Industry Groups.

What we can expect from you


Support OEM & Business Strategy Implementation

  • Work within industry groups or directly with OEMs & Tier 1 suppliers to achieve desired Infineum IL outcomes aligned with business and/or OEM strategies
  • Provide inputs to the business on industry drivers, trends & needs, to support the longterm planning process
  • Drive OEM strategy as agreed with Strategic marketing via an account planning process
  • Attend conferences & actively participate in industry forums to provide insight into OEM and Industry trends

Influence and Persuasion

  • Build strong personal relationships with key decision makers in OEMs/Tier 1 suppliers and / or Industry groups to maximise leverage and influence in achieving Infineum goals
  • Input into, or work with key OEMs and industry groups on topics of strategic significance

Competitive Assessment

  • Monitor and assess competitive behaviour across the industry landscape

Other

  • Exhibit high levels of personal ethics and integrity, to ensure Infineum and legal values are never compromised
  • Support (and manage where appropriate) the development of confidentiality agreements with strategic OEMs
  • Provide and maintain up to date training material for both internal and external use relating to OEM/Industry activity
  • Manage conflicting resource demands (OEM vs. Industry vs. Internal requests)
  • Support short term business needs requiring OEM engagement
  • Share experiences, contribute to ideation, support colleagues across the global IL teams

  • Technical Knowledge/Awareness

  • Power Transmission Fluid or Crankcase Lubricant experience and engineering / chemistry background highly desirable
  • Commercial Acumen recognises the potential commercial impact of industry or OEM actions and proactively feeds back into the organisation
  • Leadership no direct reports, but the role holder should display strong Infineum leadership behaviours
  • Language fluent English + German or French highly desirable
