Apollo Home Healthcare are seeking experienced Healthcare Assistants to support with our beautiful twin girls with their complex care needs.


We are looking for dedicated and compassionate Healthcare Assistants who are passionate about their job, enjoy delivering two-to-one support and who can build positive relationships with our service users and their families.


Meet our service users


Our service users are vibrant twin girls who live at home with their loving family in Wakefield and require support with their complex care needs throughout the day.


This position is a 2:1 and you will work closely alongside a Registered Nurse for both day and night shifts.


They attend nursery during the week and as part of their dedicated care team you may be required to accompany them to their nursery and transport will be provided for you.


Throughout the day your role will include supporting the girls with personal care, moving, and handling and being vigilant to their needs, and attending to their clinical needs when required.

You will assist them to enjoy their hobbies and interests, engage in play and support with interaction.

Playtime and fun are an important part of this role, as they enjoy playing with puzzles, listening to stories, being creative and interacting with their care team.


Our ideal care team will show resilience and confidence in being able to provide the care they require as their needs are very clinical and at times can become intense
Our service users are non
- verbal and can communicate via the use of sign language, it is important you become familiar with their methods of communication to ensure their needs and wants are met.


Our service user has specifically requested for female staff to work on their team

Essential Experience Required

  • 3months previous care experience
  • Medication Administration
  • Personal Care
  • Moving and Handling

Desirable Experience

  • Seizure Management
  • Oxygen administration
  • Working with nonverbal children

We have the following shifts available;

  • Part Time Days
  • 7:30am 5:30pm
  • 2 Shifts Per Week

Take a look at our pay rates

Weekdays:
£12.00 per hour (Approx. £120. per 10-hour shift)

Weekends:
£13.00 per hour (Approx. £130 per 10-hour shift)

Bank Holiday:
£15.50 per hour (Approx. £155 per 10-hour shift)
