Are you an experienced journalist that would like to make the leap into a media relations role?

Are you a PR or Press professional working in either the non profit or commercial sector, and would like to join an organisation where you will make a real and significant impact to the lives of those suffering from a serious condition?


If the answer is yes to the above, we are working with an international charity whose aim is to increase the number of transplant donors to help those suffering with blood cancer.

Based out of offices in West London, they are looking for you to join them on a fixed term contract for a 2 year period.


You will use your excellent writing and story telling abilities to generate compelling and engaging content, and secure media coverage across a range of media outlets including national press, TV, Radio and regional press.

Your day to day work as a Media & PR Officer will include:

  • Taking the lead in media relations and secure national and regional online, print, and broadcast coverage.
  • Researching key media targets, develop media lists and pitch ideas and stories.
  • Monitor the daily news agenda to identify opportunities.
  • Build relationships with the media to make sure our client's work stays in the front of mind and is the go to charity for comments, information and stories on blood cancer.
  • Receive and respond to media enquiries.

As a Media & PR Officer, your experience will include:

  • Previous PR, Press, Communications or Journalism experience and/or working in a busy press office.
  • A good and demonstrable understanding and working knowledge of the UK media landscape would be preferable.
  • Experience of creating content for a range of audiences.
