This role will provide you with many opportunities to learn new skills, solve problems and adapt to different situations.

Every day is different and exciting - you can get creative, messy and encourage the children to explore the world through play.

Primarily you would be working in our Oscars Out of School Club with 4-12 age provision seeing children grow, develop, and learn.

You can make a real difference in their lives by providing them with a safe, supportive, and fun environment where they are eager to 'have a go' and try new things.

What you will be doing

You will be delivering fun activities, supporting children and their families to learn through play within an after school environment from 3-6pm term time and supporting the running of Oscars holiday club throughout the holidays.

You will be involved in preparing the environment, assessing risk and making changes to meet the needs of the children present.

You will greet parents, carers, and their children on when they arrive and leave sharing existing news about their child's day.

You'll assist with snacks and refreshments as well as taking part in adult led activities (e.g., sport, arts & crafts, cookery), setting up and supporting children to develop their own ideas and play.

You may be required to support with staffing cover, as and when required, within our Blandford Nursery, (rated Good by Ofsted) and Shaftesbury Children's Centre Nursery, (rated as Outstanding by Ofsted).
