Description

The Sea Freight Imports Coordinator is based in Basildon and is responsible for processing shipments coming into the UK to ensure that all the documentation is correct.

You will also be responsible for completing all customs import declaration forms.

Description
The Sea Freight Imports Coordinator is based in Basildon and is responsible for:

Complete all Import activities correctly and on time
Keep customers updated of the progress of their shipments at all times
Complete pricing, negotiations and invoicing as needed
Correctly complete all customs import declaration forms
Immediately report any amendments to the customs declaration forms to line manager
Complete adhoc and spot checks on customer entries
Ensure all duties/VAT is charged correctly upon invoicing and collect any monies due
Create new and maintain current SOPs
Maintain excellent customer and interdepartmental relationships at all times
Accurately complete all invoicing for imports and clients within 48 hours of activity
Ensure insurances are charged correctly and any insurance claims are handed to line manager without delay
Provide holiday and sickness cover as required

Profile
In order to be considered for the role of Sea Freight Imports Coordinator, you should have:

Working knowledge of Freight Forwarding Imports in sea freight industry
Have an understanding of customs requirements
Familiar with Microsoft Office packages
Live in an area that is easily commutable to Basildon

Job Offer
Salary between £28 000 to £30 000

Office Hours:
Monday - Friday
