Malcolm Arnold Academy is now recruiting for a PA to the Principal, a pivotal roll within our Academy. We are looking for a new member of our team, who is ready to join us on our path to excellence.

_ About the role_

  • To provide confidential, personal, administrative and secretarial support to the Principal.
  • Being the first point of contact for people wishing to contact the Principal.
  • Delivering effective and efficient support to the overall running of the academy Proactively manage the principals diary arrangements
  • To deal with parent/carer and other external stakeholder queries especially in the absence of the Principal and decide how to screen telephone calls, enquiries and requests and handle them or delegate to others as appropriate, using discretion in providing information both within and outside the Academy.
  • To host all visitors to the Principal and ensure that appropriate arrangements have been made for meeting and greeting and that refreshments are available, as agreed with the Principal

Permanent, Full time, 37 Hours per week, Monday - Friday, 52 weeks per year.

_ Who we are looking for_

  • Educated to NVQ level 4, HND or foundation degree level and/or equivalent knowledge and experience.
  • Knowledge for developing and management of relevant administrative procedures, including use of relevant ICT packages and systems, and knowledge of administration policies and procedures, equivalent to national qualifications level
  • Sound knowledge and understanding of Data Protection, Safeguarding and confidentiality issues.
  • Analytical skills for interpreting data and complex information.
  • Proven ability for record keeping, information retrieval and dissemination of data/documentation to relevant parties.
  • Significant office experience in a senior administrative or PA role with a clear understanding of the need for confidentiality.
  • Keyboarding skills and knowledge of MS Office.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills, competent in meeting tight deadlines and comfortable working with a high degree of attention to detail and discretion.
