Reed Accountancy are currently working with a client who are looking to add a Finance Assistant to their team. The role is predominately remote working with the obligation to go into the office 2-3 times per month. The role is on a full-time, permanent basis.
Under the leadership of the Finance Manager, you will support the effective financial management of the business.
Your responsibilities will be:
- Managing both the Purchase and Sales Ledgers
- Ensuring that paying in slips/remittances are received and processed in a timely manner
- Ensure all payments are recorded against the relevant nominal code and the correct VAT code is used
- Ensure that credit card returns are received and process on time
- Month end duties
- Accruals and pre payments
You will need:
- Experience working with a Sales Ledger (essential)
- At least 1 year experience working in a Finance environment
- Good working knowledge of Word and Excel
- Ability to prioritise workload and to deliver on tight deadlines
- Excellent numeracy skills
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
