Description
Ashgrove Care Home is a 20 bedded residential care home, looking for a caring, compassionate, reliable, and dependable Cook to join our friendly and dedicated expanding team

Please note, we are not able to offer sponsorship license and thus unable to recruit from out of the UK

Hourly rate will be depending on experience and education

18.5 hours between with a weekend on, and a weekend off


Responsibilities Include:


  • Cleaning kitchen space in accordance with regulations
  • Prepare and cook meals following a preset menu in accordance with Health & Safety Regulations
  • Ordering of groceries via online
  • Storing food items at appropriate temperatures
  • Slicing vegetables, meat and other ingredients
  • Accurately labelling and storing food items in the pantry
  • Preparing salads, sauces, side dishes and entrees for different course menus

Requirements:


  • Indepth knowledge of various cooking techniques
  • Working knowledge of food safety and hygiene protocols
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Experience of working in a care home setting
  • Excellent communication skills
