Are you a compassionate and skilled
Speech and Language Therapist looking for a rewarding opportunity to make a difference in the lives of SEN pupils? We are excited to speak to dedicated professionals to join a dynamic
SEN School in Hillingdon.

Pupils here have social, emotional and mental health (
SEMH) needs with associated communication (
SLCN) challenges.


Location:
Hillingdon, West London


Start date:
April 2024. Full time or Job-share opportunities available.


Salary:
Band 5/- depending on experience


Key Responsibilities:

As a Speech and Language Therapist, you will be responsible for:

  • Conducting thorough assessments to diagnose speech, language, and communication disorders in individuals of various age groups.
  • Developing personalised therapy plans tailored to meet the unique needs and goals of each client.
  • Providing evidencebased therapy interventions to improve speech, language, and communication skills.
  • Collaborating with families, caregivers, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure a holistic approach to therapy.
  • Monitoring and documenting client progress, adjusting therapy strategies as necessary to achieve optimal outcomes.
  • Delivering therapy services with empathy, patience, and professionalism, fostering a positive and supportive therapeutic environment.

Requirements of a Speech and Language Therapist:

  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Sciences and Disorders.
  • HCPC registered and certification from a recognised professional association.
  • Strong clinical skills and knowledge of various speech and language disorders and their treatment methods.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both with clients and team members.
  • Ability to develop and maintain positive relationships with clients and their families.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and evidencebased practice.

You will be expected to hold or be willing to obtain Enhanced DBS check or Enhanced check for Regulated Activity with the Disclosure & Barring Services (previously the Criminal Records Bureau) and undergo due diligence checks on social media use.
