Calex is a specialist training and consultancy organisation working in partnership with several market-leading automotive manufacturers.

We are currently seeking to recruit a
CUPRA Mentor to join the team at the
Volkswagen National Learning Centre in Milton Keynes.


This is an exciting opportunity to join one of the most successful and innovative automotive organisations in an important role which will help drive current and future success of the National Learning Centre's retail training programmes.


We are looking for an individual who is:

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic vision of the project, planning and follow up of all activities
  • Permanent analysis of the advances in terms of certification pass / fail of all participants
  • Guarantee the excellence and coordination of all team members
  • Detect and cover training needs for the project team
  • Fluent communication with the CUPRA Specialists and CUPRA Business Partner
  • Preparation and presentation in follow up meetings with CUPRA HQ and CUPRA markets on a monthly basis
  • Establish regular contact with the markets with the objective of coordinating certification roll out
  • Agree together with the Market responsible the national implementation plan, timeline and milestones.
  • Train and onboard all necessary Market Trainers / Agencies / Field Force into the Certification process and observation criteria
  • Establish and monitor processes together with the markets for the delivery of Agent and CUPRA Master information necessary for the Certification
  • Establish and agree reporting timeframes with the market and deliver such reports.
  • Ability to travel to markets when required for status meetings

About You

  • Experience in project coordination / management
  • Experience in people management
  • A confident communicator who can create and maintain engagement with multiple stakeholders at different levels
  • Experience of delivering face to face and digital training interventions to an industry leading standard.
  • Maintains a dynamic and engaging delivery style at all times.
  • Ability to engage groups of learners at every stage of the learning process using a variety of exercises and discussion to embed learning
  • Ability to demonstrate an understanding of L&D theory and best practice and how it is practically applied in an L&D department
  • Maintains credibility by keeping up to date with new and revised learning and development theories, practices, and methodologies including technological advancements


  • Intermediate IT Skills

  • All Microsoft Office Packages
  • Experience working within the manufacturing or automotive industry
  • TAP Delivery Skills Accredited
  • A genuine interest and passion for the automotive industry, keeping abreast of developments both within the VWG brands and its competitors
  • Experience of working in learning departments with a focus on achieving set qualification standards and targets
  • An understanding of assessment tools and their links to learning & development

Salary & Benefits
Up to £45,000 (pro rata) dependent on experience, plus car or car allowance of £328.50 per month (Total £3942 pa)

There will also be times when it may be necessary to work from alternative locations such as (but not limited to) Calex offices, alternative VWG facilities and retailers, and other sites as necessary to perform the role, including international events.
