Description

As a Fibreglass Trimming Operator, you will play a vital role in the production process of our GRP building products.

Your primary responsibility will be to accurately and efficiently trim and finish fibreglass components to meet the required specifications and quality standards.

You will work closely with the production team to ensure the smooth flow of materials and the timely completion of orders.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Operate trimming machinery and tools to precisely cut, trim, and shape fibreglass components according to provided specifications.
  • Inspect raw fibreglass parts for any defects, irregularities, or imperfections before trimming.
  • Ensure that all safety protocols and guidelines are followed when operating machinery and tools.
  • Collaborate with the production team to prioritise tasks and meet production schedules.
  • Maintain a clean and organised work area to ensure a safe and efficient working environment.
  • Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of trimming equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • Work in adherence to quality control standards, identifying and reporting any issues or deviations.
  • Report any equipment malfunctions or safety concerns to the supervisor promptly.
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to process improvement discussions.
  • Follow all company policies and procedures, including those related to safety, quality, and production.

Qualifications and Skills:


  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in a manufacturing or production environment, preferably involving fibreglass or similar materials.
  • Familiarity with trimming machinery and tools is a plus.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, measurements, and specifications.
  • Strong attention to detail and precision in work.
  • Good manual dexterity and handeye coordination.
  • Safetyconscious with a clear understanding of safety protocols.
  • Effective communication skills and ability to work within a team.
  • Problemsolving skills to identify and resolve minor technical issues.
  • Physical stamina to stand, bend, and lift throughout the shift.
