**Children's Social Workers for Children in Our Care

Ref: CH11423**
Grade G9; Salary Range: £38,223 £43,421 per annum

This is an exciting opportunity to join our corporate parenting service in Walsall as we are seeking to appoint full time Social Workers.

As Corporate Parents, we aim to advocate and champion the voice of children and young people in the work that we do and enable them to participate and co produce in practice and service delivery.

You will be a Social Work England registered social worker, bringing to the role a track record of working with children in care and care leavers.

You will be a skilled and experienced social worker, having a proven ability to a make a difference in the outcomes for children in care and care experienced young people.

If you are passionate about doing the best for our children in care and care experienced young people, have excellent communication and multi-agency working skills, and want to work as part of a friendly team committed to ongoing learning and restorative practice where you will receive good supervision and training then please apply.

Completion of an enhanced Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) check is a requirement for working with children and young people.

Note:

Applicants appointed to posts that require an enhanced DBS clearance must declare any periods of time that they have lived, studied or worked abroad and be prepared to provide an Overseas Criminal Records Certificate (OCRC) or a Statement of Good Conduct (SOGC) relating to anytime they were overseas.

The post holder must have held a social work qualification for a minimum of 3 years and must be registered with Social Work England.

This post is covered by the Government's Code of Practice on the English Language Fluency Duty for public sector workers.

The postholder will be required to communicate verbally with customers and provide advice and/or information in accurate spoken English.
