Help to improve outcomes for children and young people with SEND in Gloucestershire


In Gloucestershire, our focus is on enabling an inclusive education system, providing the right support at the right time and in the right place.

As a local authority we are committed to improving outcomes for children and young people and are investing in our capacity through creating additional posts within Education Health and Care Plan (EHCP) service and other SEND services to help us to meet local need.


Our EHCP service is there to support those who may need additional help to meet short or long needs to help children and young people fulfil their potential, and currently have a range of vacancies on a permanent basis.


About the team and role


As an EHCP Resolution Lead you would be part of our EHCP leadership team, leading a team of officers who support mediation and resolution work.

You will work closely with education providers, developing strong working relationships across education, health, social care, and with young people and their families to improve outcomes and ensure access to inclusive and appropriate education for all children and young people with SEND.


About you


You will have excellent leadership and communication skills and the ability to work co-productively and creatively with other professionals, children and young people and their families, to address identified needs.

You will need to an excellent understanding of SEN legislation and have empathy for the challenges that young people and their families experience, as well as competence in assessing and reviewing the needs of vulnerable children, young people and their families.
